Thanks for landing on my site! A little about myself...I reside just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a town called Zelienople, with my husband and three sons. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks after my 40th birthday and everything after that was a whirlwind. You never think it could happen to you until it does. After surgery, chemo, and radiation, I quickly realized there was a lack of children's books around the topic of cancer, especially cold capping.
After being an elementary teacher for 20 years, I decided to fulfill my lifelong dream of writing and publishing a book. My books are factual, read like social stories about what 'Mom' will go through during chemo, radiation and surgery, while allowing for honest and open conversations amongst families.
